Learn more about Nfortec from Rafael Jurado, our Product Manager

do you want to know how we create our products? What happens from the moment they are conceived until they reach your home? Find out how we work every day at Nfortec, and what affects and influences us, when it comes to offer you a wide catalog with the best components for your PC, and the most complete gaming cases, from the hand of Rafael Jurado, one of our Product Managers, and Eseka.

Rafael Jurado, or Rafa for us, has been working for two years in Nfortec and devising products and designs for the brand. He is one of the people responsible for developing the products and making sure that only the best products pass the quality tests to appear in the Nfortec catalog, and reach your setup. He is also in charge of updating the products, adapting them to the demands and trends of the market, and making the difficult decision to retire those products that were great in their day, but are now a bit behind the times.

All current Nfortec products have a little bit of Rafa, and the rest of our product managers, and we are proud to say that, specifically Eris, belongs to Rafa 100%. On the other hand, Krater could be considered as the most representative tower of the brand, top in terms of performance, build options, lighting and price. Totally recognizable, according to Eseka

What do we base our products on?

We are a brand that seeks to position itself in an acceptable quality-price ratio, but we have top products to satisfy the needs of those users who are looking for something more specific. We really aim to have the best available, depending on what you want to spend. If you allocate a certain budget to a component, we want you to have the best within that budget at Nfortec

There is a process in terms of product selection and approval. From the idea to the final product, there are certain steps that you might be interested to hear about in the interview. The reality is not as idyllic as it may seem, and it is not easy at all, we establish minimum quality standards, size compatibilities, what we can install in the case of towers, etc.

Evolution and updating according to the market

The market is evolving and we try to keep up with it, for example, when designing our towers. The chassis are becoming smaller and smaller, depending on the size of the main components required by our PCs, such as cooling or graphics cards. We also try to adapt our products according to market trends, for example, the way to install graphics cards or power supplies, and therefore, we have some towers with different possibilities, so you can assemble your build as you really want

Coordinating and standardizing the RGB, changing the connection from 6 pins to 3 pins, has been a turning point. Nfortec has struggled to lay a foundation in terms of their products, quality standards, which go through this kind of possibilities between own components

No matter how much we like a design, we always have to ask ourselves, does it adapt to the current market? We try to adapt to the greatest number of these demands, within the price range we want to maintain, to give you a wide enough range so that, both in budget and in aesthetics and options, you can find your dream tower

Pricing: the tricky question

We know that one of the most common questions, logically, is what influences a product to have one price or another? Mainly the price of a product is given by the combination of the cost of manufacturing and raw materials, the logistics cost (moving it from the factory to your home), taxes and, as in any company, the profit margin. These pillars are the basis of the cost and budget strategy, and are part of product development

In the case of logistics, its price has varied a lot, especially now with the pandemic, and that explains the change in prices, not only in our sector, but in practically all of them, because transportation has come to cost 8 times more for the same route

Conclusions of our Product Manager

We try to listen to the suggestions and opinions of users regarding each product, in order to continue improving. It is clear that each user has a plan for his tower, and we cannot always meet all the requirements if they are very specific, but we do try to satisfy the general requirements

A product does not depend exclusively on the department responsible for it, but, as Rafa says, there are many things behind it. It depends on design, and also on marketing, and the other departments that are responsible for making it known in the right way. The Customer Service department is also involved, as it must study each product in depth to know how to advise and help each user. At Nfortec we are a big family, and we all work together.

And, of course, although we try hard, not all ideas come to fruition, we also make mistakes and we have some ideas that get out of hand, as in the case of the tower with slate that you can see on Rafa's shelf, in the interview. As for new ideas and launches for 2022, we are sure you are going to love them, and if you want to know more, we recommend you take a look at the interview
