Product Warranties

NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U., owner of www.nfortecstore.com, guarantees all computer equipment, components and other products it distributes according to the laws in force and the following conditions

The consumer can contact both the seller and the manufacturer of the product, who will be liable for any lack of conformity within two years from the date of purchase (one year for second-hand products), for products purchased before January 1, 2022. For purchases made after this date, the warranty is extended to 3 years, due to the new consumer regulations. For power supplies purchased after 2021, the warranty will be 5 years. When the non-conformity becomes apparent after 6 months and in doubtful cases, the manufacturer may require an independent expert report in order to process the warranty. In obvious cases of malfunction or irregular operation during the warranty period, there is no problem.

In any case, during the time the consumer is deprived of the product, the computation of the warranty period is suspended; for example, if the repair of an object takes 15 days, the warranty period will end 15 days later than originally foreseen.

Any manufacturer that has a warranty longer than the 3 years established by the Law in force in 2022, must deal directly with the manufacturer and NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. is not responsible for such cases.

The shipping costs generated by the processing of the product warranty will be borne by NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. in those cases where it is assumed that the lack of conformity exists in the purchased good. This should always be done following the instructions indicated by NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U., upon request and acceptance.

Conditions for companies and distributors:When the customer is a distributor, or invoices as a company (non-individual), shipping costs to our facilities will always be borne by the customer, since the law on consumer goods does not regulate the sale between companies. In addition, the warranty in these cases will be the one stipulated by the manufacturer of the product.

The consumer may complain to the seller when the product is not in conformity with the contract:

  • The purchased good does not conform to the description provided by the seller.
  • The acquired good does not serve for the uses to which consumer goods of the same type are ordinarily put.
  • It is not suitable for the special use that would have been required by the consumer and accepted by the seller.
  • It does not present the expected quality and performance, especially considering the public statements (advertising, brochures, labeling...) about its specific characteristics made by the seller or the manufacturer.

The consumer and user has the right to:

  • Repair or replace.The consumer and user may choose to the seller for repair or replacement, unless one of the two options is impossible or disproportionate. It will be considered disproportionate the one that has a higher cost. Non-fungible goods (when they are of a specific nature) and second-hand goods cannot be replaced. Both repair and replacement must be carried out within a reasonable period of time and completely free of charge for the consumer

    NOTE:The warranty can be managed directly with NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U., however some manufacturers offer the direct management of the breakdowns/defects/incidents produced in their products to give a quality after-sales service and reduce the time. In these cases NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. will inform you so that you can decide whether to process it with us or with them.
  • Reduction of the price or termination of the contract.They will proceed when the consumer and user cannot demand the repair or replacement and in cases where it has not been carried out within a reasonable time or without major inconvenience to the consumer and user. The resolution will not proceed when the lack of conformity is of minor importance.

* Warranty processing of promotional products, packs or gifts. If it is a gift, it will be replaced by another equal or, if it is not possible, of similar value, never for money. If it is a promotional product or pack, if the repair or replacement is not possible, the equivalent amount will be reimbursed, calculated taking into account the real price of the product and the discount obtained by the customer when acquiring it in promotion.

Cancellation of guarantees

The guarantee may be cancelled for the following causes:

  • Incorrect use, handling or maintenance by the Customer of equipment, multimedia kits, components or peripherals.
  • Software and/or virus problems.
  • Components burned by electrical surges or overcurrents.
  • Broken or damaged components subjected to impact.
  • Incorrect repair, modification or extension of equipment by the customer.
  • Deterioration, elimination or concealment, by the customer, of the NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. or the manufacturer's warranty label on all products (including those that are part of an equipment, multimedia kit or semi-equipment) manufactured or distributed by NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U.

In short, no damaged material or material with obvious signs of improper handling will be accepted.

Claims for damages caused by transportation

For safety reasons, we recommend that, upon delivery of the order, the packaging is checked for damage. If the order is damaged or broken, the customer may refuse or accept the delivery, in the following situations:

  • In case of accepting the delivery of a damaged package, we advise that, even if the damage is minimal and / or simply in the packaging, the customer indicates it to the delivery person, leaving a record in the POD or proof of delivery, which will be sent to the transport company, and that we as a company may request in case the product may also have any damage * resulting from transport, and the customer wants a replacement
  • In case of refusal of delivery, the package is returned to our facilities, enclosing the transport company a proof of damage, and allowing us to send a replacement** to the customer as soon as possible

*The customer has 48 hours from the reception of the order to check the merchandise and to notify an incidence derived from the transport, in case a damaged package was accepted and finally the product was also damaged.

**Replacements due to transportation damages will be carried out under the same conditions and with the same characteristics as any replacement due to non-fulfillment of the contract.

The warranty does not cover

The warranty does not cover defects caused by incorrect use of the product and/or handling of the product other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics or operation.In such cases, the consumer shall be responsible for their repair. They are therefore excluded from the warranty

  • Defects and deterioration caused by external events, accidents, mainly electrical accidents, wear and tear and use not in accordance with NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U.'s instructions.
  • Products modified or repaired by the customer or any other person not authorized by NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U., as well as products that are the object of a specific support contract.
  • Incorrect software/hardware configuration by the customer of a device, component or peripheral. Incorrect software/hardware configuration or equipment failure caused by a component not supplied by NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. and incorporated by the customer.
  • Infection of computer viruses, by the customer, in equipment, hard disks or diskettes of drivers or additional software.

To this effect, NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. informs that the Revised Text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU) establishes several options to exercise the right of withdrawal. Among them contemplates the possibility of doing so by filling out a form telematically. In order to shorten the time and that you can make the return in a comfortable way and without delays, from NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. we advise you to make use of this option and fill out the withdrawal form that will be provided to the formalization of your order, accessing with your username and password

These warranty conditions do not affect the consumer's statutory rights under applicable law
Optical media (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW) are not guaranteed once the packaging or box is opened or unsealed. Only optical media whose packaging has not been opened can be returned at the customer's expense
NEW ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, S.L.U. is not responsible for the personal information contained in the PC or storage unit.The customer is responsible for the data or information in the material to be repaired and for making the pertinent backup copies.
Likewise, the warranty shall cover hidden defects and manufacturing defects of the product in accordance with article 1490 of the CC.
