Build your own gaming pc

Deciding to set up your own Pc Gaming for parts is a big step and entails entering a very technical world where we will find a multitude of options and terms that we do not necessarily know what they mean. From experience, we know that from the outside, when we are going to start the first contact, it may seem an "obscure and harboring horrors" subject but as soon as we start to get into it and investigate about the options, in a little more than a week we will be quite clear about what we need and where to find it. Obviously we will not be experts in the subject but we will already know the terminology and the function of each component and what we are looking for.

Advantages of our own configuration

For our post about setting up your own Pc Gaming we want to start with a basic question: What advantages do I have if I build a computer from components instead of buying a ready-made one?

The first advantage is that you will get a better performance investing less money. By buying the parts separately and doing the assembly yourself, you save the extra cost of paying intermediaries to do the installation or the plus of the store that sells it to make their own profit.

You will have a more balanced equipment. Many times already assembled equipment prioritize components that are more eye-catching to the detriment of others that go more unnoticed. They can mount a more powerful graphics card and then cut back a lot on the power supply.

By being able to customize your equipment as you wish, you have more room for improvement. This is closely linked to what we said earlier about investigating which components are best suited to your needs. Having done the installation yourself, you know exactly where you can invest to upgrade your equipment in the future.

In addition, the computers that come already assembled as standard usually include a lot of programs that we are not going to use and take up space on our hard disk.

Everything we will need

The components we will need to assemble our computer are a motherboard, a processor, a graphics card, a RAM memory, a hard disk and/or SSD and a power supply. Indeed, we will need a place to mount all these components and for that we will also need a tower. To finish and to be able to enjoy our equipment we will also need a monitor and its peripherals (keyboard, mouse, headphones...)

• The motherboard is the system where all our components are installed and therefore we must make sure that it has all the connections and ports we need to install our parts and cables.

• The processor or CPU makes sure that everything works correctly. If we are playing a video game and we press the W key to move forward, the CPU is the one that interprets the order we are giving it and executes the function.

• The graphics card. This is another of the key pieces of your Pc Gaming because depending on the option you choose, you will have more power and capacity in your computer. The function of the graphics card, broadly speaking, is to reproduce all the commands given by the processor.

• RAM is the main working memory of the computer. It only works when the computer is on and uses the information needed by the programs to run them. The larger the RAM storage, the faster the processor will work.

• Now it's time for hard disks and SSD's. The hard disks or HDD is where we are going to save our files and programs, are the traditional storage units. Increasingly it is orienting the assembly of your computer with two storage units, the classic HDD and an SSD, which is a much faster storage technology but higher in price. Here, in the SSDs, it is recommended to install the operating system and games that need a lot of load because the load will be much faster.

• Finally we have the power supply. This provides power to all our components, depending on what our parts need we will have to put a source that goes according to the power we have to cover. If we adjust the power to the requirements of our equipment we will be more efficient and we will also save on our electricity bill.

Gaming PC for 600€

We are going to offer you a budget for a low cost Gaming PC 600€. Cheaper and, of course, much more expensive configurations are possible, but at this price we will be able to enjoy a configuration powerful enough to obtain a great performance without the budget getting out of hand.

As motherboard our recommendation is a Gigabyte GA-B360M DS3H

For the processor we have thought of the Intel Core i3-9100 3.4Ghz

As a graphic we have assembled the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 Gaming 8G 8GB GDDR5

For RAM we have the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 DDR4 2x4GB

As a hard disk we recommend the Seagate Expansion 1TB 2.5" USB 3.0 and for the SSD our recommendation would be the Crucial MX500 SSD 250GB, here is also the 500GB version which would have a higher price but would double the capacity.

The last of our components is the power supply. The recommendation here would be our Nfortec Scutum 650M

To accommodate all these components, we recommend the following box Nfortec Lynx (which is available in two colors) and incorporates a 120mm RGB rear fan for easy cooling inside your tower.

With this we would already have our computer ready, but if you want to add an extra touch of cooling we recommend our veteran heatsinks Candle KX.
