what sizes of heatsinks or coolers fit in your case Nfortec?

As you know, at Nfortec we are always working to offer you the best products at the best price. Therefore, we have recently welcomed new heatsinks to our catalog, and we have improved our liquid coolers. So that you can choose between the cooling components that go best with your case Nfortec and processor, we bring this guide that we hope will make your choice easier.

liquid cooling or CPU cooler?

Choosing between heatsinks and liquid cooling is, as a first step, a matter of taste and aesthetics, depending on your set-up. Once you know what you prefer, it is important to know the dimensions of your case and the maximum dimensions of the CPU heatsink it will accept or, in case you want liquid cooling, the fans that will fit in it. All this information can be found in the specifications section of any of our cases

Choosing a heatsink

If you prefer a CPU cooler, choosing a model will be relatively simple. With respect to our towers, all models accept any of the CPU heatsinks in our catalog, except in the case of Aegir X which, being a dual fan, reaches 164 mm and will not fit in some towers, such as Krater Mini. In case you choose Sculptor, Centaurus X o Aegirit is important to keep in mind that they will fit a little tighter in towers that accept heatsinks up to 160mm. Of course, we recommend that you take into account the space occupied by other components of your PC because, if they invade the space that should occupy the heatsink, it is possible that it will interfere with the installation of the same

In addition to this, we also recommend that you consider adding an additional fan to Sculptor and Centaurus X, with our Air Cooler Update set, to increase the cooling power of your CPU cooler. This is important because, in case you want to add a second fan, you will need your case to support the additional space required for its installation

Liquid cooling

If you are interested in installing liquid cooling for your processor, you will have to be very clear about where you want to place the fans in your case. This is very important to value it well because, it is preferable to install a smaller liquid correctly, than trying to place a larger one without having space. To be able to choose a liquid cooling and not have surprises when installing it, we recommend that you have clear the top, front and rear measurements of your case, and how many fans it accepts in each area. This way you will be able to find the best place for the fans and decide if you need a single, dual or even triple liquid cooler. We also recommend that, if you intend to place the fans at the top, check that they will not collide with other components you have installed, mainly RAM cards with unusual or special profiles

Remember that, to choose the location of the fans, it is not only important to know where to place them in your case, but also whether the liquid pipes will be above the pump. This is essential so that the cooling flow is correct, and there is no problem with any of the components or their operation

Lighting synchronization

On the other hand, if you are one of those who want your entire set-up to have matching lighting, you are in luck because, among our heatsinks and liquid coolers you can find a wide variety of options with lighting and synchronization options

Those of you who have any of our towers with ARGB technology, which with the updates are practically all of them, you can install and synchronize the lighting of any of the following components:

ARGBliquids Hydrus ARGB y Atriain any of its versions

ARGBheatsinks: Centaurus X and Sculptor

On the other hand, you can also enjoy the illumination of Hydrus V2 Red or Blueas well as Centaurus, with its rainbow mode, although the lighting comes by default. Centaurus is the previous version of our Centaurus X, and the main differences between both are their connections, having Centaurus 4 pin connection, while Centaurus X has 5v 3 pin, updated to ARGB technology; and on the other hand, the air flow, which is higher in the case of Centaurus X. Finally, we also have simpler heatsinks, such as Vela X, which will provide great cooling to your processor, in case you prefer not to add more lighting to your set-up

Remember that if you want to upgrade your set-up to the new ARGB technology, the updated ARGB controller is available on our website and, with the Velorum combo or another set of ARGB fans you are interested in, it will be very easy to make the leap

Processor compatibility

As a last point to keep in mind, it is essential that you make sure that any CPU cooling you want to install is compatible with your processor and has brackets for Intel or AMD, as you need. Remember to check the specifications of your tower and the cooling you want to install to make sure it is compatible with your PC.

We hope this guide has helped you, what do you prefer, liquid or heatsink?
